Spent the 30th through 5th of Oct. in the Marriot
Basin/ Rohr Lakes area. Cold and snowy conditions (with a couple of days
of clearing). The north aspects where keeping and accumulating snow
down to 5000' with an average mid slope HS around 15cm. The road to the
trail head got cleared of all the alder on the 2nd of October by the ACC,
so it is probably feasible to drive the extra couple of Km (from the
highway to the trees) with a vehicle of moderate clearance.
Bring on the WInter!
