[MCR] Mt. Field

Skied to the last bench before the summit headwall on Mt. Field yesterday.  Excellent skiing including lower down through the Xmas tress where the alders are well covered.  The last headwall is very suspect and should be avoided.  A lone ski tourer accidentally triggered a size 2.5 on the summit slopes the day prior.  He was very fortunate to get away with it.  The Feb. 26 surface hoar at the interface of this slab release is very prominent and it is a nasty one.  See pictures (Brad White photos)
