Climbing up on Murchison Falls yesterday. Route has some fun and interesting climbing but is not as straightforward as usual. Of note right now are the large amounts of hanging icicles on the upper pitches which do threaten the climbing lines. Large temperature variations or hot weather might make you quite uncomfortable below these.
Very little snow in that area yet and easy travel in all the drainage's nearby. In this area snow depth and avalanche hazard seems quite limited, though areas closer to the divide or wind loaded gullies may present a very different story. No new avalanches observed yesterday.
