Guided two up on the ice of Coire Dubh today.
A mild morning on the done dry/covered in construction material debris (from the dry land fill) trail.
The first pitch is currently a steep WI3 with some real good sun affect. to get screws one would need to dig about 4 inches.
The rest of the route is really icy and dry. Not too much easy snow walking this year.
If a lower body burn is your thing this is it!
By mid day the snow was really coming in and by 14:00 we were back in a white winter wonderland.
The construction material was once again camouflaged by old man winter and the walls looked more wintery than they have looked in months.
In total nearly 5 cm had fallen by the time we drove away.
Time to wax the skis!
Cheers
