Trophy Range - Flower Meadows Snowpack amounts are a bit below average for this time of year at tree line & alpine and still below threshold for avalanches in this area. There is 30-40 cm of snow with drifts up to 1.0 m at tree line and above. A melt freeze crust approximately 20 cm from the ground carries very well in most places. Above 1800 m the wind has done a good job of smoothing out the bulges and divots of the landscape. Access to the trailhead by SUV and 4x4 still manageable. Freezing level is at valley bottom in the North Thompson with 3 cm of new snow last night at 800m (10-11-13).
