On the SW facing glades of Tom George Mountain, we found old but active
surface hoar 105 cm down with an HS of 200 cm. It produced a hard but
sudden planar shear. The load on the snowpack is increasing these days
with mild temps, wind and snow. I have not seen any activity on this
layer, but it's worth looking for.
