Tryed to post these earlier , but file size was to big. Here are some photos taken this Thursday afternoon on an overflight through the Hudson Bay Range, W of Smithers,BC. One photo is the N face of Hudson Bay Mtn lookingup the Toboggan Glacier, the other is the Kathlyn Couloir descent option above the Kathlyn Glacier.Freezing level Thursday morning at 0830 was approx 2000m. Still quite a bit of snow on the glaciers, with ice just showing on the lowermost sections. Lots of crevasse sags. Recent snowfalls from the last week are mostly melted off steep rock faces, and only avalanche activity noted was wet point releases to size 1. Visibility was poor near the summit, so hard to see cornice situation.
