[MCR] Temple Tourist Route and some O'Hara conditions, August 20 & 21

Up the Temple tourist route on August 20th.  Excellent conditions and weather.  Soft snow, nice to have the ice axe but no crampons used.  There were 40-50 people on the route.

Hiking in the Lake O’Hara area today (August 21st), we observed a rockfall event off of the southwest face of Mount Huber at 12:30, with numerous basketball and beer fridge sized rocks running across the Huber Ledges hiking trail, halfway between Wiwaxy Gap and Lake Oesa.  There are still numerous snow patches in the gullies above that trail, and the warm afternoon temperatures appear to be the cause of the rockfall.  It looked like landmines exploding where the rocks were impacting near the trail.
