[MCR] Rockies, Pinnacle Mountain

My fellow guides, Carl Johnson, Richard Howes, and I guided an ascent of South-West Ridge of Pinnacle Mountain today, August 26th. The route is in good shape, but the "old, fixed, fat hemp rope." (Selected Alpine Climbs in the Canadian Rockies, page 126) has unravelled and frayed away to 5 meters of binder twine ... guess that you just can't get 100 years out of rope anymore.

Happy trails,
