Lake O'Hara lodge's last day of operation for the winter season. Good ski conditions and the snow feels good in moderate angle terrain with a deep well distributed snowpack. Not interested in poking around in the wind affected/variable snow depth areas. Opabin Glacier and Pass are well covered but I would wait for a lower avalanche hazard to ski the Wenkchemna-Opabin traverse. If anyone has big spring ambitions for Lefroy, it will need a lot more snow without wind. The west face is looking surprisingly dry. The centre, fall line gully has a big rockband exposed and the skiers left Y gullies are looking awfully skinny. Very surprising considering how well the face's snow survived the summer. Ice climbs on Wiwaxy are almost non existent.
