Hello All, I made an ascent of Mt. Assiniboine's North Ridge yesterday (August 30th) with one client. There was a trace of new snow on the lower mountain with slightly greater accumulation above 3400 meters. There was not enough new snow however, to require ice axes or crampons. We approached via the Gmoser Highway which were dry and not all together unpleasant. With this morning's clear and sunny skies, the mountain was drying off fast. All in all, the peak was in excellent condition for this time of year. Photos attached.
Cheers.
