My partner and I enjoyed a calm and clear day of climbing on Kitty Hawk today,
off the David Thompson Highway. The climb was mostly dry and true to the
grade. Good screw placements for protection and anchors can easily be found.
New snow amounts from last night's system varied considerably on our drive from
Banff to our trail head early this morning.
In the vicinity of the climb there was up to 12cms of new snow in open areas.
Other than sloughing of the new snow in steep terrain, we observed no new
avalanches.
