Went up to Johnston Canyon yesterday (upper falls). The fairly thin layer of
ice on the low angle right hand side
seemed delaminated from the rock with lots of running water underneath. The
creek was only partially frozen and thin,
so hard to keep your feet dry at the base of the climbs on the right side. The
steeper lines on the left closer to the main
water fall are getting into shape, but with some decent size icicles making for
some overhead hazard to watch out for.
