[Trailex] South of Chinaman's Trail 2006-06-10 15:00:00

Saw a black bear while returning from Mount Lawrence Grassi trailhead.  Few 
hundred metres south of the Chinaman Peak Trailhead.  We were walking along the 
east side of the canal.  Saw the bear shortly after getting past the rock cuts. 
 After making a lot of noise the bear retreated into the trees where it watched 
us as we went by.  No aggression shown from the bear.
