Light to moderate snowfall and strong southerly winds at timberline
today. -5 degrees at 1500 m at mid-day on Hudson Bay Mountain. I found
about 15 cm of new snow that sluffed on ski cutting in steep terrain,
but had not (yet) formed a slab. Skiing quality was good above 1200
m, where the mid-pack is not warm enough and carries. Depending on how
much snow we get, things might deteriorate rapidly.
