To add to Marc's picture yesterday the
gully is snow filled at the bottom (good steps, no crampons) as well as in "the
hole" on the descent. It was nice to have an axe as there
is also a small snow patch getting to the saddle to start the descent
trail - everything else is dry.
Large, fresh (almost steaming!) bear
scat on Edith Pass trail with multiple diggings and over turned logs.
Had the feeling we were being watched -
