Down at the Columbia icefields again on Saturday and Sunday. Cold on both days with -5 recorded Sunday morning at Jasper Park Boundary parking lot. Climbed A2 via boundary glacier. Good conditions on ascent and decent though slowly softening up by 1200 once at toe of glacier again. Still well filled in but sags visible on ramp and above.

Lake still mostly frozen but no snow in the trees. Shrund on A2 still well filled in. rock pitch is mostly dry, a few steps cut near top. Some minor rockfall from cliffs above ramp where new water ice was melting. Good to be early and fast. A good freeze is important. Saturday on N glacier doing a rescue simulation and it was cold and frozen all day with a bit of a blustery wind. Talked to a party who skied up south ridge on Andromeda and they said good conditions going up but softening quickly on descent. So it would seem southerly aspects are getting solar affects even at upper elevations.

No new tracks visible on N glacier ramp.
