Just finished traversing over the Wapta from Bow to Sherbrooke lake.
Overall very good conditions on the 20th and 21st with good enough
freezes to use crampons.
Took high ramp on Balfour which was very clean and well frozen. The
benches on the left side led easily to the left ramp. The big
crevasses at the nunatak were passed #1 on the right then back left
to cross second one on the left near the rocks. Shortly though I
think both will have to be crossed on the right closer to the
icefall. Daly glacier in very good shape.
+7 this am at Scott Duncan with light rain though most areas still
gave good travel, very little postholing.
Still lots of snow under Mt Niles and the cornice still looms above.
