Climbed Castle (Eisenhower) Tower today (July 6) by the normal route.
No snow remains on the route except for a large patch on the summit plateau. The large gully on the face still holds significant snow, but it was melting fast today in the heat. Only very minor rockfall was observed despite a fair amount of moving water. Tested all the pitons that I went by today, and only found one slightly loose one. As per usual there seems to be a fair amount of loose rock on ledges in the upper reaches of the mountain.
Have fun in the sun!
