I guided Mt. Joffre August 14. Had perfect conditions! Hard snow right to the summit. The Bergschrund is starting to open up on the left to center of the face, but easily passed on the right side. I descended down the NE Ridge and the gully which was all snow. Need a cold day, I wouldn't want to be there on a warm day when the sun hits that side in the afternoon, lots of potential for rock fall. Was a magical day.
