Awesome alpine conditions in the morning these days. Longer clear nights with great freezes at all elevations

However it has recently gotten stinkin' hot in the afternoons well into the alpine. With some winter snow still hanging in it means the big afternoon melting is creating wet avalanches and some significant rockfall. The big cornices still left are drooping again. Bare ice is starting to show up quickly on Glacier pk, Lefroy, Cathedral and on the low elevetaion glaciers.

Odaray, Grassi's, Cathedral, Lefroy, Glacier, Huber etc all in good shape. Hungabee west face sounds like freight trains and a rifle range in the late afternoon heat.

Other than the first fall colours and the short days it feels more like late july than early september.

Get up early and go fast. It is damn good while it is good.
