Like elsewhere in the ranges, Kananaskis also began to make the transition into winter today.  Highwood pass area had close to 10cm at the tail end of the storm on Monday and I suspect amounts are closer to 10-20cm at higher elevations.   Some wind transport of available snow was seen at higher elevations so we can certainly expect pockets of windslabs throughout Alpine terrain.

 

When the sun came out, lots of S facing routes were melting quickly such as Yam and Lorette but closer to the divide, not much melting was going on…
