[MCR] Spearhead Traverse

Skied around the Spearhead Traverse today. Ideal conditions. The alpine North East to West sides stayed cool.

South exposures got heated a bit. Some point releases and later a thin crust formed.

Trail breaking was 15-25cm but ridge tops are scoured.

Saw lots of mid storm/end of storm avalanche activity to Sz 3 on all aspects and mostly low in the Alpine.

I assessed the hazard in the alpine as Moderate on north aspects, but I was reluctant to ski bigger features due to the amount of recent snow and evidence of past avalanche activity.  South aspects hazard went Considerable during the mid day heat.
