Fine day on Brewers yesterday the 22nd. However the descent seemed surprisingly rugged to me after an absence of 5 years or so. A big deposit below the route makes it appear a large wet rock slide/debris torrent ran down it at some point. The upper scree was rock hard and covered in lots of loose rock. I REALLY wouldn't have wanted a party coming down above me. I had 2 sure footed guests and we still knocked down a fair number of biggish loose rocks. Rappels were in good shape and then as we walked away a mini fridge sized block came roaring out of the gully and down the debris. No rain or huge winds-just another spontaneous death block from above!!! Finally, it seemed pretty dry up there. Tiny trickle just before the last traverse to the hut and that was about it. Hut looked to be in fine shape.
