Please note that the closure for ordinance disposal has been extended until
midnight on Thursday Sept. 6, due to poor weather today.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Blasting operations are scheduled to take place on Mount Tupper in Glacier
National Park on Thursday September 6th, 2012. The purpose of these
operations is to safely remove, by detonation, unexploded military
ordinance that was fired as part of Parks Canada’s Avalanche Control
Program.
The Hermit Trail, Hermit Campground and all climbing routes on Mt Tupper
will be closed to all activities Tuesday September 4th, Wednesday September
5th, and Thursday September 6th. The closed area has the same boundaries as
the Hermit and Tupper Winter Restricted Areas.
Access to other areas of the Park will not be affected, but visitors may
experience loud noise from the blasts.
For information please contact the Rogers Pass Discovery Centre or the
Parks Canada Administration Office (250-837-7500).

AVIS IMPORTANT
_____________________________________________________
(250-837-7500).
