My guest and I enjoyed excellent conditions on Mt. Victoria’s SE ridge
yesterday.
Travel on snow along sections the ridge was good and the snow was mostly
supportive on our way up in the am but quickly breaking down by 0830 on our
descent. The snow and ice is quickly melting away from the ridge and you
can travel on the rock for most of the way. The sickle is getting icy and
crampons and ice axe were necessary to safely travel through this section.
