Hello Everyone,

Passing along some updated information on the trails in Glacier National Park:

A Restricted Activity notice currently applies to the Asulkan, Illeciliwaet, and Balu Valleys. Groups must travel in a group of 4 or more in these areas. Failure to comply may result in charges. The restriction is in place for public safety and  grizzly bear conservation.  Trails that fall in within the Minimum Group of 4 Restricted Activity Notice :

    - 1885, Glacier House, Meeting of the Waters, Sir Donald, Asulkan Valley, Great Glacier, Glacier Crest, Abbott Ridge/Marion Lake, Avalanche Crest, Perley Rock and Balu trails

    - Climbers accessing routes in these areas must comply with the Restricted Activity Notice.


- Avalanche crest is now open but you must travel at all times in a group size of 4 or more

- There are no restrictions or warnings in the vicinity of the Hermit trail in Glacier National Park
