[MCR] Prohibitedd Activity Notice - Mount Green/Ross Peak, Glacier National Park, September 10, 2013

Climbers and scramblers please take note of the following closure on September 10th, 2013:

All slopes and climbing routes on Mount Green and Ross Peak will be closed to all activities Tuesday, September 10, 2013. The closed area has the same boundaries as the Ross and Smart Winter Restricted Areas.

Explanation:

Blasting operations are scheduled to take place on Mount Green in Glacier National Park on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013. The purpose of these operations is to safely remove, by detonation, unexploded military ordinance that was fired as part of Parks Canada's Avalanche Control Program.
