[MCR] Swiss Guide's trail

Subject: [MCR] Swiss Guide's trail
Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2013 09:38:58 -0600
Over the past couple of days, Parks Canada staff have been working on
clearing this trail. This trail starts from the Plain of Six
GlaciersTeahouse and goes up to the meadows known as Pope's prospect. I
believe this trail was built by the Swiss Guides in the 20th century. Over
the past decades, this trail has been heavily overgrown. The trail
clearing is expected to be completed today.

>From the Teahouse, continue towards Victoria for about 200 metres across
the bridge and across the slide path. On the far side of the slide path,
cairns indicate the start of the trail. It switchbacks up through the
forest for about one hour to one of the best viewpoints in the Lake Louise
area.
