With Margo Talbot this morning, I climbed Louise Falls, route #31 in IceLines -
Select Waterfalls of the Canadian Rockies.
P1 and 2 were brittle with shooting cracks and plenty of ice fall. Water was
seeping through the pillar making for a damp cave belay. P3 and 4 were hooked
out and climbed well. The top out is very dry w loose rock. With no parties
behind us, we rappelled the route and chopped off the biggest icicle nearest
the belay cave.
Happy holidays,
Brent Peters
