My fellow guide, Carl Johnston, and I guided Rogan's Gully today. Bullet proof
ice in the morning, pleasant temps in the sun on the way down at 2 pm. A large
avalanche (not recent) has filled the gully chock-a-block full of snow making
for good cramponing, but less ice climbing in The Narrows. Look for fresh,
fresh new anchors on the sidewalls.
