Elisabeth D and I enjoyed good early season conditions on Polar Circus today.
The 2nd pitch after turning the pencil was the only wet pitch on the route, but
it was torrential.
-5c at the pullout and 2cms of fresh snow at 0600 this am. Lightly snowing when
we left at 4pm. Most of the bolted anchors are still hard to reach as the route
has not filled in but there is plenty of ice for anchors and vthreads.
