The CMSG ASG exam spent 4 days ski touring in the Selkirks at Benedict Creek from April 5 - 8th Weather: Alpine temps remained cold , overnight temps at 6500ft from -12 to -14. Mainly sunny, calm and almost no convective activity. Snowpack: Deep and well settled ( 300+ on glaciers) , good powder on N-aspects , crusts on solar aspects. Avalanche activity: Small loose dry/wet in steep terrain Na cornice triggered slabs to size 2 , E = aspect 2500m Skied steep 40+ degrees all aspects with only minor surface sluffing.
