Just back from Joffre. Pretty good conditions up onto the glacier but the fun
stops at the base of the North face. The upper 1/2 of the North face is bare
ice leading onto scree. Not pleasant looking and the exit from that ice to the
scree above might be interesting. We climbed the lower snowy face and then went
right onto the skyline which was easy but deeply chossy. Down the same way.That
snowy lower face is melting fast and won’t be snowy much longer unless things
cool dramatically.
