Just got back from an overnight trip into Pinto Lake. The trail leading up to Sunset Pass from the Parkway is in fine shape and is well marked. The trail that the descends down to the lake looks like it's seen some recent work and you can easily step over or detour around any deadfall across the trail. Only the last 500 metres or so of trail before the campsite is a little indistinct, but there is occasional flagging and cairns to help mark the way through this boggy section. The campground is in good shape but basic. A few benches have been improvised around the campfire ring and there are lots of good trees nearby to rig a bear hang. There was very little trash at the site, and the green throne outhouse was tidy. A great place to visit.
