Did the “hike” across Sentinel Pass
last Friday on a showery day. Lots of snow patches left at tree line and wintery
in the alpine (and even more so now after the new snow from the last two days!)
as the attached photos show.
Generally good boot kicking conditions going into Sentinel Pass and down the other side. Lots of
snowy patches on the trail and sinking in on the thinner spots makes travel more
time consuming. If you are into hurdle jumping and limbo dancing, the dead fall
on the Paradise Valley Trail (and I’m not talking about the old trail
that has been taken out of commission) will keep you well entertained on the
slog out!
Cheers,
