In the Mount Robson area today.
Still winter conditions in the Mount Robson alpine with past 5 days of
fresh snowfall with heavy rains in the valley. Crevasses are thinly bridged
with this fresh snow even though it looks easy going through some of the
crevasse fields. Some signs of recent avalanche activity up to size 2.5
with barely discerneable fracture lines. The mountain appears to be locked
in winter conditions so still too early to launch an assault.
One party just climbed the N face but it took them an epic 18 days. They
were lucky to survive in the end and did not finish the descent.
