[MCR] Mount Sir Donald Update

Hi Folks,

We've been getting heaps of requests for information on the Mt. Sir Donald NW Ridge route.  As you can see from the photos the ridge is looking good and is in condition for a dry ascent.  The Bypass route (for the descent) which facilitates a more efficient descent has significant snow and ice on it and isn't recommended until it is dry.

A Parks Canada "A Climber's Descent Guide to Mount Sir Donald" .pdf document is very close to completion and should be officially released perhaps by the end of today or soon after.  We will post this new updated description on another MCR as soon as possible with the document attached as well as the link to the Parks Canada site.  In the meantime we will send the doc by request via email or you can drop by the Roger's Pass Discovery Centre at the Roger's Pass itself or alternatively at the Parks Canada Revelstoke office to procure a paper copy.

Recent photos from a flight I took 2 days ago.  Photos attached below.

Enjoy the great summer weather!
