Howdy Iceclimbers,
Just getting out of the Ghost with friends Doug and Tim. Many thanks to Grant
P and his team for the hard work in cleaning up and flagging the trail. We were
able to drive all the way to Malamute Valley with a stock Xterra. The final
creek crossing is getting sporty (just before Beowolf).
F&F was brittle and glassy this AM. All 3 pillars are in good shape and take
reasonable gear. The 2nd was the most challenging today. The upper pillar is
getting a brief window of sun right now between 1345-1430h. We rappelled the
route on v-threads. There looks to be another few pitches of moderate ice above.
GBU is looking in reasonable conditions including the sporty central pillar. We
passed 2 parties heading in to THOS.
