Fellow guides James Blench, Jean Gamilovski and I completed an intro to
mountaineering w the British army at the Icefields.
At 2200m on the Athabasca glacier we found 10-15cm of fresh snow (from Sep
22-24). At 2600m on the North glacier of Athabasca there was 30-40cm. On Sep 27
winds increased moderate to strong w widespread wind transport. Overnight
freezes daily at the campground.
