Parks Canada Visitor Safety team from Jasper National Park will be conducting a
rescue scenario on the ice climb 'Melt-Out' on the Icefields Parkway on
December 19th, 2013. There will be as many as 10 rescuers and staff working on
the ice and in that area. Space will be extremely limited for recreational
parties looking for a quiet wilderness experience. Other options for climbs in
that area would be Bridalveil Falls, Shades of Beauty WI-4, and the Wings and
the Stage; all of which are in good shape. Visit Parks Mountain Safety Facebook
page for recent photos of each of these climbs and others. Thanks for your
cooperation.
