[MCR] Wapta Icefield Conditions

I spent last Thursday and Friday glacier hiking out of the Bow Hut. There was around 100 cm of snow overlying the ice with 30 cm new snow from the storm earlier last week, which reached almost to valley bottom.

The route up to the St. Nick/Olive Col was riddled with thinly covered and open crevasses. We made our way there easily be sweeping wide into the compression zone below Mt. Gordon.

See attached photo taken Friday morning while hiking out.
