I guided out of the Stanley Mitchell Hut in the Little Yoho Valley from July
26-29th. Great summer mountaineering conditions but the snow is going quickly
and more ice is being exposed daily. We made ascents of Mt McArthur, Isolated
Peak, the President and Vice President. Gaining the President Col is still a
pretty straight forward walk, but the big cracks are opening. We traversed
about 30 metres of ice on the President Glacier with the rest being good snow
climbing.
Happy trails,
